Prevena Incisional Wound Vac Discharge Instructions
Leave dressing in place and device on until 14 days after surgery, it will be removed in our office.
- Be sure to plug in the device at night.
- You may shower with the dressing in place with use of a shower bag; keep the device outside the shower and dry.
- After Therapy has ended (14 days), the entire system will be thrown away in office with the first dressing change at your first postop visit, including the device (pump).
- After removal of the dressing, a clean, dry dressing will be applied and will remain in place until your second postop visit when sutures/staples are removed.
