Pediatric Flatfoot

Pre and post correction of a painful pediatric flatfoot deformity in a 14 year old male. We corrected the deformities with two powerful procedures known as Evans and Cotton osteotomies. We also lengthened this young man’s Achilles tendon. The Achilles acts to lift the heel off the floor during gait, and flatten the arch. Many patients with flat feet tend to have excessively tight Achilles that may not respond to conservative measures
